31 Days of Praying for Myself

 

Day 1 Pray that you would understand the Gospel more clearly and apply it in your life.  1st Corinthians 15:1-7

Day 2 Pray that you would understand that you are a new creation in Christ, and that God has prepared good works for you.  2nd Corinthians 5:17, Epheians 2:8-10

Day 3 Pray that you would know the truth of who Jesus is and the truth of God’s Word in order to be set free from lies. John 14:6; John 8:32

Day 4 Pray that God would help you understand that eternal life is not just something which begins when you die, but it is all about knowing God and Jesus Christ now and forever.  John 17:3

Day 5 Pray that God would help you to live in this world but not be overtaken by the culture and ways of the world. John 17:15,16; 1st John 2:15-17

Day 6 Pray that God would help you love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength and love your neighbor as yourself. Mark 12:29-31

Day 7 Pray that God would help your light, the light of Christ in you, shine for the world around you to see. Matthew 5:16

Day 8 Pray that God would help you love your enemies. Matthew 5:43-48

Day 9 Pray that you would be more concerned with treasures in heaven and serving God, more than you are concerned about treasures on the earth and serving yourself.  Matthew 6:19-24

Day 10  Pray that you would hear and read God’s Word, not just to feel good about yourself, but in order to obey what it says. Matthew 8:24-27; James 1:22-25

Day 11 Pray that God would help you control your tongue and what comes out of your mouth.  James 3:1-12

Day 12 Pray that sin would not reign in your body. Romans 6:12

Day 13 Pray that God would give you the courage to confront and help restore other believers who are caught up in sin. Galatians 6:1,2

Day 14 Pray that God would continue to sanctify you and that you would flee sexual immorality and gain better control over your body so that you live in holiness and honor.  1st Thessalonians 4:3,4

Day 15 Pray that God would help you look to Jesus, lay aside any sin that trips you up, and help you run the race God has for you with endurance.  Hebrews 12:1-3

Day 16 Pray that God would not let you be content to simply have faith, but that you would supplement, in increasing measure, your faith with virtue, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly love. 2nd Peter 1:5-8

Day 17 Pray that God would help you really count the cost of following Christ, so that you know what you are in for.  Luke 14:25-33

Day 18 Pray that God would give you the courage to speak the Gospel to others and tell them of repentance of sin toward a holy God and putting their faith in Jesus Christ.  Acts 20:18-21

Day 19 Pray that you will not be immature and give in to every type of teaching you may hear about Christ, but rather pray that you would be mature and grow in the true knowledge of Christ.  Ephesians 4:12-14

Day 20 Pray that God would help you walk according to his commands. 2nd John verse 6

Day 21 Pray that God would help you to not just look at the outward appearance of others, but look at their heart as God does.  1st Samuel 16:7

Day 22 Pray that God would make you more like Ezra, who set his heart to study the Word of God, and to do it, and to teach it to others.  Ezra 7:10

Day 23 Pray that God would help you be willing to go wherever he wants you to go and do whatever he wants you to do.  Isaiah 6:8

Day 24 Pray that God would help you understand that Christ has been punished for you and your sins, so that you don’t have to punish yourself.  Isaiah 53:4,5

Day 25 Pray that God would identify sin in your life and that you would “Go and sin no more”. John 8:1-11

Day 26 Pray that God would help you do justly to others, love giving mercy to others, and walk humbly with Him.  Micah 6:8

Day 27 Pray that God would help you find your safety and refuge in Him and nothing else.  Psalm 71:1,2

Day 28 Pray that you would not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.  Ephesians 5:17

Day 29 Pray that you would walk in wisdom and behave properly toward those who are unbelievers. Colossians 4:5; 1st Thessalonians 4:12

Day 30 Pray that God would help you not to be idle or lazy but help you to do your work well and quietly and earn your own living.  2nd Thessalonians 3:11,12

Day 31 Pray that God would give you motivation to exercise physically, but also exercise yourself for the purpose of godliness.  1st Timothy 4:8

31 Days of Praying for My Church

 

Day 1 Pray for the salvation of everyone at your church, that it would be based on the knowledge and righteousness of God and Jesus Christ.  Romans 10:1-3

Day 2 Pray for the safety and deliverance of the missionaries New Life supports and that God would open up doors for them to preach and teach the Word and Gospel, so that it would spread rapidly. 2nd Corinthians 1:8-11; Colossians 4:3; 2nd Thessalonians 3:1

Day 3 Pray that the people of New Life will do what is right and in accordance with the truth. 2nd Corinthians 2:7,8

Day 4 Pray that God gives the people of New Life a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus Christ.  Ephesians 1:17

Day 5 Pray that the eyes of the hearts of the people of New Life may be enlightened, so that they will know what is the hope of Christ’s calling, the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and the surpassing greatness of His power toward those who believe.  Ephesians 1:18,19

Day 6 Pray that the people of New Life will be led by the Spirit in their prayers. Epheisans 6:18

Day 7 Pray that the love of the people of New Life will abound more and more in knowledge and discernment, so that they can figure out those things that God deems excellent, so that they will be sincere and blameless while they are on this earth.  Philippians 1:9-11

Day 8 Pray for the peace of God to flood the hearts of the people of New Life as they bring everything to the Lord in prayer instead of living in anxiety.  Philippians 4:5-7

Day 9 Pray for the people of New Life that they would be filled with the knowledge of God’s will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that they will walk in a manner worthy and pleasing to the Lord.  Pray that they bear fruit in all of their good works and increasing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with His power SO THAT they will attain steadfastness and patience as they give thanks to God the Father.  Colossians 1:9-11

Day 10 Pray that the people of New Life stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God. Colossians 4:12

Day 11 Pray that God would enact a work of faith in the hearts of the people at New Life, that they would work and labor hard for God out of love, and that they would be steadfast because of their hope in Jesus Christ.  1st Thessalonians 1:2,3

Day 12 Pray that the people of New Life will receive not only the word of the Gospel, but that the Gospel would use its power to bring about salvation and assurance and conviction in the Holy Spirit.  1st Thessalonians 1:4,5; Romans 1:16

Day 13 Pray that the people of New Life will imitate those in Scripture, like Paul, but more importantly, that they would imitate Jesus Christ, even in hardship and persecution.  1st Thessalonians 1:6; 1st John 2:6

Day 14 Pray that the people of New Life will be an example to all other believers in Gahanna, Central Ohio, and the entire state.  And pray that example will be one of turning to God from idols in order to serve Him as well as having a joyful anticipation of the return of Jesus.  1st Thessalonians 1:6-10

Day 15 Pray that the people of New Life will be joyful always, pray without ceasing, and give thanks in all circumstances because that is God’s will for them in Christ Jesus.  1st Thessalonians 5:16-18

Day 16 Pray that God would count the people of New Life worthy of their calling, and that God would fulfill every desire for goodness each person has, in order that Christ is glorified.  2nd Thessalonians 1:11,12

Day 17 Pray that the people of New Life would lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity, as well as be burdened to pray for the leaders of our country.  1st Timothy 2:1-3

Day 18 Pray that the men of New Life would pray without wrath and dissension. Pray that they live with their wives in an understanding and loving way. 1st Timothy 2:7-9; 1st Peter 3:7

Day 19 Pray that the women of New Life are less concerned with how they dress and the latest fashions, but are more concerned about clothing themselves with good works. 1st Timothy 2:9,10

Day 20 Pray that the prayers of the elders of the church for those who are sick are effective and bring healing. James 5:14,15

Day 21 Pray that the people of New Life are willing to confess their sins to one another and pray for each other for deliverance from those sins.  James 5:16

Day 22 Pray that the people of New Life will be assured that God hears their prayers.  1st Peter 3:12

Day 23 Pray that the people of New Life would prosper in all ways and be in good health. 3rd John 1:2

Day 24 Pray that the people of New Life will not fall into temptation. Matthew 26:41

Day 25 Pray that the people of New Life will be people who forgive one another. Mark 11:25

Day 26 Pray that the people of New Life will see God’s Word as a lamp for their feet and a light to their path. Psalm 119:105

Day 27 Pray that the people of New Life will recognize the gifts that the Holy Spirit has given them and use them to serve God and the Church.  1st Corinthians chapter 12 and 14

Day 28 Pray that New Life is strengthened in faith and that it would grow in numbers daily.  Acts 16:5

Day 29 Pray that the leaders of New Life will shepherd the flock well and guard their hearts and lives. Acts 20:28

Day 30 Pray that the people of New life would recognize false prophets and avoid them. Matthew 7:15

Day 31 Pray that the people of New Life not to get trapped in a cycle of busyness which tears them away from gathering and having fellowship with the church.  Pray that they would spur each other on to love and good works. Hebrews 10:24,25  

31 Days of Praying through Psalms

 

Day 1 Pray for God to help you delight in His law and not to take counsel from those who are not of God.  Psalm 1:1,2

Day 2 Pray for the Lord to shower you with his grace for inner healing. Psalm 6:2

Day 3  Pray that God would help you walk in righteousness and that he would bring you through his testing. Psalm 11:5

Day 4 Pray that God would help you understand that everything good comes from Him and ask that He would help you to live in submission to Him as your Lord. Psalm 16:2

Day 5 Pray that God gives you long life so that you can serve Him even more. Psalm 21:4

Day 6 Pray that God would help you walk in integrity and trust in Him.  Psalm 26:1-3

Day 7 Pray for God to lead you and guide you in every decision you make.  Psalm 31:3,4

Day 8 Pray for God to continually reveal his love for you and his righteousness to you. Psalm 36:10

Day 9 Pray and confess sin to God. Psalm 41:4

Day 10 Pray that even in the midst of chaos among the nations of the earth, that God would be with us and protect our nation. Psalm 46:6,7

Day 11 Pray for God’s forgiveness of your sins and confess to him the ugliness of your sin.  Psalm chapter 51

Day 12 Pray that God would help you put your trust in Him and his word when you are afraid. Psalm 56:3,4

Day 13 Pray and praise God for anything you can think of.  Psalm 61:8

Day 14 Pray and ask God what he would like you to give as an offering to him.  Psalm 66:13-15

Day 15 Ask God for opportunities to tell others of what he has done for you.  Psalm 71:15,24

Day 21 Pray to God to reveal to you anything that is worthless that you put before your eyes to entertain yourself with and that you would have the self-control to avoid such things. Psalm 101:3

Day 22 Pray that God would help you to be filled with justice so you can bless others and rescue those who are caught up in injustice.  Psalm 106:3

Day 23 Ask God to help you practice the fear of the Lord with the understanding that He is God and you are not.  Psalm 111:10

Day 24 Be thankful to God for all you can think of.  Psalm 116:17

Day 25 Pray for the Lord’s protection in life.  Psalm chapter 121

Day 26 Ask God to restore your joy and laughter because of what he has provided for you. Psalm chapter 126

Day 27 Ask God for hope when your heart is not lifted up and you are a bit depressed and tired. Psalm chapter 131

Day 28 Think back on your life and praise God for the tough things he has brought you through.  Psalm chapter 136

Day 29 Ask God to guard your mouth and lips from saying things you should not. Psalm 141:3

Day 30 In what areas of life do you need God’s help?  Ask him for his help. Psalm 146:5-9

Day 20 Pray that God would never let you be led astray by alcohol or any other substance which would take your focus off of God and control you more than the Holy Spirit.  Proverbs 20:1

Day 21 Pray that God would help you not to love pleasure more than you love Him.  Proverbs 21:17

Day 9 Guard the conversation of her mouth that she may always speak in meekness, wisdom and kindness as is fitting to the Lord. Let vanity, covetousness and lying be far from her heart and lips and let her conversation focus on the things of God. Day 10 Lord, give my wife strength to stand firm against the spiritual attack and put on the armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-17

Day 11 Help my wife with her image of herself Lord. Do not allow her to think more of herself than she ought to and at the same time, help her believe that she is all you have said she is through and in Christ Jesus. Day 12 Pray that your wife looks well after her own house, building it in wisdom. Please guide her into integrity, prudence, meekness, and diligence. Proverbs 31:27; Proverbs 14:1; Proverbs 24:3; 1 Thessalonians 4:11; Titus 2:5

Day 13 Pray that your wife has the wisdom, which comes from God in her daily walk. Fill her with your spirit of wisdom. Exodus 31:3; James 3:17; Ephesians 1:17

Day 14 Pray that your wife is clothed in your strength, honor, love and righteousness. Proverbs 31:25; Romans 13:14; Ephesians 3:14-19, Colossians 3:12-14

Day 15 Pray that the fruit of the Spirit grows more and more in your wife’s life. Galatians 5:22-23, John 15:8

Day 16 Pray for your wife to guard her heart and mind from all deception, and that the eyes of her understanding being open to truth in all areas of life. 1 Timothy 2:14; Luke 21:8; Matthew 24:11; 1 Corinthians 3:18; 1 John 1:8

Day 17 Pray for your wife to grow as a godly mother, admonishing and teaching our children in the ways and truths of the Lord. That she is in all ways and all things a living example to them of holiness in Christ Jesus our Lord. Deuteronomy 11:19-21, Psalm 78:6-7, Titus 2:3-5

Day 18 Pray that your wife will not be swayed or overcome by circumstances that arise in her daily life and walk with you. That her eyes remain fixed solely on You. Matthew 17:8; Philippians 3:14; Psalm 25:15; Psalm 121:1-2

Day 19 Pray that your wife would be wise in scheduling her time throughout the day, and that her schedule would be prioritized in a way that is pleasing to the Lord. Ephesians 5:15-16

Day 20 Pray that God would bless the work of her hands and let it be a praise and encouragement to her. Proverbs 31:31; Hebrews 6:10

Day 21 Pray that your wife will be honorable, useful, respected and a blessing to all who know her. That she will have the virtues as described in Proverbs 31:10-31, Proverbs 12:14; Proverbs 18:22; Proverbs 19:14

Day 22 Pray that your wife knows your love for her and that you would show her selfless Attention, Affection, Admiration, Appreciation, Adoration, Affirmation. Ephesians 5:25; Ephesians 5:29; Ephesians 5:33

Day 23 Pray that your children honor, respect and bless her. Exodus 20:12; Ephesians 6:2

Day 24 Pray that God would remind your wife each day that she can come boldly to Your throne of Grace and make her requests and needs known. Hebrews 4:16; Matthew 7:7-11

Day 25 Pray that your wife would increase in her understanding of the Gospel. 1st Corinthians 15:1-7

Day 26 Pray that your wife would treasure your children as a special gift from the Lord. Psalm 127:3; James 1:17

Day 27 Pray that your wife would have an ever increasing amount of faith to believe God and His Word in all things. Luke 17:5; Philippians 4:13

Day 28 Pray that your wife will be submissive to You in all things, being a godly wife and helper to me and that our relationship will openly reflect the love and submission of Jesus for the church as described in Ephesians. Ephesians 5:22-33, James 4:7; 1 Peter 5:5

Day 29 Pray that your wife would have a heart for making disciples. Matthew 28:19-20

Day 30 Pray that your wife will have a long, healthy life and that she will prosper in whatever You set her hands to doing. 3 John 1:2

31 Days of Praying for Your Husband

Day 1 Pray that the heart of your husband would be turned more toward your children and that their hearts would be turned toward him. Luke 1:17

Day 2 Pray that your husband would act and speak in such a way so as to not provoke your children to anger.  Ephesians 6:4

Day 3 Pray that your husband would see that one of his primary responsibilities is to bring his children up in the training and instruction of the Lord.  Ephesians 6:4

Day 4 Pray that your husband would desire righteousness in his life 1st Peter 3:10-12

Day 5 Pray that your husband loves you just as Christ does the Church. Epheisians 5:25

Day 12 Pray that your husband would develop close friendships with Christian men who can bear his burdens and he, theirs, so that they can help each other overcome sin and temptation. Galatians 6:1,2

Day 13 Pray that your husband’s love would grow in knowledge and discernment so that he can approve the things that are superior and be pure and blameless in the day of Christ, all for the glory of God.  Philippians 1:9-11

Day 14 Pray that your husband will be filled with the knowledge of God’s will, walk worthy of the Lord, bear fruit in his good works and grow in the knowledge of God. Also, pray that he is filled with endurance and patience as he gives thanks to God.  Colossians 1:9-12
